About the role:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and facilitating stock management and stock transfers in Redbank.
Championing a strong safety and high-performance culture, you will provide leadership to a diverse and multi-site team.
Being accountable for safe and efficient warehousing activities, storage, parts distributions and systems operations, this role will drive continuous improvements to meet the needs of our customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
With the ability to move between a high-level strategic focus and getting into the detail, you will contribute to the ongoing refinement of the Redbank warehouse strategy, develop data driven initiatives to deliver superior stock control and management outcomes, and lead warehouse design, layout and CAPEX initiatives.
Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team, including developing and monitoring KPIs, to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, pick/pack and distribution of goods from the central distribution centre, and the efficient operation of regional warehouse facilities that support operational maintenance activities.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
Maintain standards of health, safety and security
Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
Prepare annual budget
Plan work rotes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
Develop and implement data driven continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
Lean Six Sigma (Preferred)
Previous experience managing a regional warehouse
Demonstrable business improvement experience, both operational and financialDemonstrable experience leading diverse, physically separated teams to deliver high performance results
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Expertise in the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance
Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP system
Advanced knowledge of warehouse design, layout and sequencing principles
Advanced level Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio
About you:
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships
Strong negotiation and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written across all levels of the business
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Attention to detail and a willingness to get hands on when needed
