Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic / Service Technician to expand our service capabilities and support our growing customer base.
About the Role
This is a field‑based service role supporting our scientific refrigeration and environmental control equipment. Ideally, you will be based on the Central Coast or in the Newcastle region, as the role requires working 2–3 days per week in Newcastle. At times, you may also work from our Tuggerah workshop or attend customer sites across Sydney. Occasional interstate travel may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
* On‑site servicing and preventative maintenance
* Responding to breakdowns and emergency call‑outs
* Workshop repairs and diagnostics
* Routine servicing and compliance checks
* Field support for scientific refrigeration and environmental control equipment
* Equipment installations at customer sites
* Working closely with customers to deliver exceptional service and technical support
* Assisting the internal service department as required
* Coordinating defective product returns
* Fault finding, problem analysis, and corrective actions
* Occasional warehouse duties, including unloading of containers
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
* Current NSW unrestricted driver's licence
* Disconnect / Reconnect licence
* Minimum 3+ years' experience servicing scientific and/or commercial refrigeration equipment
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical background
* Sound computer skills and ability to complete service documentation
Highly Regarded:
* Previous experience in a similar service‑focused role
* Stable work history with a strong team‑oriented approach
