ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a
Finance Officer – Accounts Payable
to become an integral part of our Finance Team.
This role is based at our head office in the Brisbane Technology Park at Eight Mile Plains.
This position is highly suited to an energetic individual who is a fast learner, a good communicator and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with all stakeholders and will be embraced by a highly supportive and collaborative team.
Accurately prepare, check, and enter supplier invoices in MYOB EXO in a timely manner.
Process weekly/monthly supplier payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reconcile credit card transactions for multiple cardholders using WebExpense.
Reconcile supplier statements and promptly investigate discrepancies or exceptions.
Ensure supplier invoice approvals comply with company procedures (gatekeeping the Accounts Payable approval process).
Maintain and update Accounts Payable records, including setting up new creditor accounts.
Raise purchase orders for repairs, maintenance, utility bills, and other relevant expenses.
Review freight bills, assign disputes to the respective team, and claim disputes with the freight company.
Monitor the AP inbox and respond to supplier inquiries.
Enter general transaction journals other than supplier payments.
Reconcile prepayment and deposit accounts.
Participate in cross-training within the team and perform other ad hoc responsibilities as requested.
Ensure all work aligns with documented environmental procedures and internal instructions.
The Successful Applicant Will Ideally Have:
Experience in an Accounts Payable role.
A diploma or higher qualification in the accounting field.
Strong data entry skills with high speed and accuracy.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform effectively under high work demands.
Proficiency in computers, including experience with MYOB EXO and advanced Excel Skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to contribute to process improvements.
