Melvelle Equipment Corp Pty Ltd is a second generation, Australian-owned family business established in 1982, manufacturing rail track maintenance equipment, geo-technical drilling rigs, portable hydraulic equipment and hand tools.

Position Overview
The company has a relatively young service division, operating for around 6 years. Under the guidance of its highly regarded Service Manager, it has continued to grow this profitable division to become one of the most respected within the industry.
The company is now seeking to increase its capacity and further grow this department with the appointment of an additional permanent Small Engine Mechanic – Service Fitter to the team. This person will work alongside existing service staff, either in the Maryland workshop or in the field as required.
The successful candidate must be safety focused, and possess working knowledge of small engines; some experience with simple hydraulic systems would be advantageous. You will be well-presented and able to converse with customers and supervisors in a professional manner.
You should be willing to travel, generally within local NSW; average travel duration is between 1-3 weeknights, 2-3 times most months. You will be required to work weekday day shift with paid overtime when required. Travel allowance is paid on top of all work-related incidentals.
The Maryland workshop will be your base when not in the field.

Essential skills
* Small engine diagnosis and repairs including 2 stroke, 4 stroke petrol and diesel
* Basic hydraulics experience an advantage
* Auto electric repair knowledge an advantage
* Current Drivers license
* Experience following written and verbal processes
* To be a quick learner who enjoys problem solving
* Be able to prioritise your "to-do" list and adapt to daily demands
* Must be a team player
* Computer literate
* Forklift Licence
