The Mission Ahead: This role is with KBR's Government Solutions U.S. division. We create a world that is safer, more secure, and sustainable, delivering advanced full life cycle professional and technical solutions in service of critical missions for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, NASA, and other key federal entities.
What You'll Do
* Perform pre-painting activities including scraping, sanding, and repair of cracks and holes before conducting general finishing
* Execute preventive maintenance to ensure long-lasting colors and minimize future damages
* Maintain ventilation, compressed air systems, and personal protective equipment; report issues to management
* Apply paints using rollers, brushes, spray guns, and finish drywall using standard or specialized tools
* Clean all equipment, including brushes and spray guns, after use
* Use scaffolding and ladders to reach high ceilings or walls
* Other duties as required
Requirements
* Must be a US or Australian citizen
* Minimum of five years of experience as a painter with experience using a wide variety of indoor and outdoor paints
* Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance or AUS PV Clearance
* High School Diploma or GED
* Attention to Detail: precision and attention to safety standards
* Adaptability: flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements
* Decision-Making Ability: strong ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
