An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Submissions & Marketing Assistant to join a well-established construction business supporting the NSW pre-contracts and marketing teams. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career within bids, marketing and communications in the construction industry. You will work closely with experienced bid and marketing professionals, gaining exposure to tender submissions, branding, marketing campaigns, and industry events.
This role would suit a recent graduate or someone early in their career who is highly organised, creative, and eager to develop their skills within a fast-paced project environment. Working closely with the Submissions Manager and wider team, you will play a key role in coordinating tender submissions and supporting marketing initiatives that showcase the company's projects, expertise, and brand. You will gain hands‐on experience across bid coordination, document production, content development, and marketing campaigns while working alongside project teams and industry professionals.
The Role:
Submissions Support
* Download and manage tender documentation including addenda
* Coordinate bid meetings, workshops and submission reviews
* Assist with research and collation of project, company and safety information
* Format tenders and EOIs using approved templates
* Assist in compiling, proofing and finalising submission documents
* Maintain submission templates, project profiles and bid library content
* Ensure accurate tender information is recorded within the CRM system
* Support post‐tender activities including presentations and interview materials
Marketing & Communications
* Assist with social media content for LinkedIn, Instagram and company platforms
* Update company capability statements and project profiles
* Coordinate photography, videography and marketing materials for projects
* Maintain a calendar of project milestones and completions
* Assist with award submissions and industry recognition programmes
* Support the planning of corporate events, client functions and social initiatives
* Assist with CSR activities, fundraising events and partnerships
About You
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, creative and proactive, with a genuine interest in the construction or built environment sector.
* A qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field (completed or currently studying)
* Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* The ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
* Strong written communication and relationship‐building skills
* A proactive mindset and positive, team‐focused attitude
Highly regarded but not essential:
* Experience within the construction, architecture or engineering industries
* Exposure to tender submissions or bid coordination
* Experience supporting marketing campaigns, events or corporate communications
