About the team
We support all our Business Banking and Agribusiness customer needs through a centralised dedicated sales Lending support model that delivers on exceptional banker and customer experience. The team is responsible for leading operational performance requirements of the divisional operating model including lending assessment, sales Lending support, specialist operations and operational excellence designed to optimise the performance of the Business & Agri Sales Lending Support team to support the division to achieve its goals and objectives. The Lending Assessment Team is responsible for providing specialist pre approval support to front line teams to deliver expected business results and customer outcomes. We provide support in the following areas; Credit Writing Support and Inbound Quality Support.
About the role
The Team Manager is part of a team of eleven, reporting to the Senior Manager Lending Assessment. Each Team Manager leads a team of around eight to twelve Lending Analysts and Senior Lending Analysts.
Providing effective leadership to their team, with an unwavering focus on people capability and development, coaching team members to achieving outstanding performance. The purpose of this role is:
Providing customer focused, cost effective and quality operational support to the Group's customers, partners and other departments.
Leading the team to ensure a consistent one-way-same-way experience for our customers
Building and maintaining effective relationships with direct reports, customers and partners.
Achieving financial and business objectives by effectively managing resources
Maintaining appropriate skill levels across all team members
Providing a sense of direction and build ownership and alignment within the team to implement change
Drive operational performance consistency
Coaching and mentoring of team members
A major part of your role is to ensure the team understands processes, adequate controls to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, resulting in the delivery of market competitive and customer focused turnaround times and outcomes
About you
Proven experience in Active Ops/Workware planning and understanding of methodologies (highly desirable)
Success in a leadership role
Success in staff mentoring, training and ongoing skills development and accountability emphasis
Operational excellence - achieving agreed success measures through team performance.
Customer relationship management success
Business banking, agri business, commercial lending or credit/risk leadership experience, including end to end lending experience
Proven experience of a wide variety of lending functions, processes and systems preferred.
Experience with Banking platforms RFS, BDS, LINX, Doxgate, BPM/PSP or similar systems preferred.
