Key Systems Engineering Position
The role of a systems engineering lead involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle of complex aerospace vehicles.
* Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of systems and test engineers in achieving project goals.
* Manage systems engineering activities from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
* Collaborate with other engineering leaders to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for systems engineering processes and tools.
* Coordinate training initiatives for engineering team members on systems engineering best practices.
* Manage shared systems engineering resources and oversee their allocation.
* Creation and technical review of systems engineering artefacts, including system designs and integration plans.
* Oversee integration, testing, and specialty engineering activities, including reliability analysis and root cause investigations.
* Perform top-down systems design for new products, including functional analysis and requirements derivation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
* Experience in a team lead, engineering management, or coordination role in a fast-paced environment.
* Hands-on experience in systems engineering, preferably with a focus on aerospace systems.
* Familiarity with the full systems engineering lifecycle, from operational concept through to system verification and deployment.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members.
* Agile decision-making and a logical approach to technical challenges.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Resilience and adaptability in complex environments, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
