**The Role**
We are seeking a dynamic, commercial and technically astute Head of Sales and Business Development for our Rail Products business. This core purpose of this role is to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes with our customers across our railway wheel, axles, wheelsets and anode pins products and services thereby ensuring Molycop maintains its position as the preeminent trusted partner to critical Australian industries.
- Build and maintain robust, reliable and authentic relationships with all key stakeholders - customers, suppliers, industry partners, regulatory bodies and internal colleagues.
- Proactively prepare, gain requisite approval and positively engage customers on recurring and new business opportunities.
- Regularly monitor customer perceptions, service levels, order patterns and demand to facilitate pre-emptive development and deployment of targeted customer offers to drive sales outcomes.
- Lead commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers including technical and legal aspects after requisite delegation that deliver targeted financial and risk outcomes.
- Synthesise customer and market information and insights to provide accurate and timely volume, mix and pricing signals into our periodic business processes including annual budget preparation, monthly forecast and S&OP; and weekly financial tracking.
- Unite the business' leadership team around delivering a customer experience that clearly outperforms the competition.
- Lead the Sales & BD team with authenticity, purpose and drive. Model, foster and embed strong alignment and exceptional teamwork within own and other functions within the business.
- Identify, pursue and deliver meaningful value-adding complementary product and service opportunities.
- Advocate and pursue the case for fair competition with authenticity, sense of fairness and evidence-based conviction.

- To be successful in this role, you will possess:_
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills especially in the external environment.
- A robust understanding of the technical intricacies of our products and associated manufacturing processes or demonstrable capability to rapidly attain this knowledge.
- A demonstrable track record of identifying, pursuing and ultimately delivering business or commercial outcomes with urgency and intent.
- Excellent leadership and organising skills, with distinctive ability to inspire, align and motivate your own team and peers.
- Sharp commercial acumen, negotiation skills and the ability to advocate and align price with delivered value and assumed or mitigated risk.
