Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Advisor. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering community engagement plans, working closely with internal stakeholders and project teams.
As a Community Engagement Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies to engage stakeholders, communities, and customers. You will also work on multiple projects across various workstreams, collaborating with multi-disciplinary project teams and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in community and stakeholder engagement, ideally with training in or an understanding of IAP2 principles. They will also possess relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, sustainability, environmental science/management, urban planning, engineering, or other social science disciplines.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy, are essential for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Community and stakeholder engagement experience, preferably with training in or an understanding of IAP2 principles.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, sustainability, environmental science/management, urban planning, engineering, or other social science disciplines.
* Previous experience in the planning and/or delivery of construction projects, preferably in the utilities sector.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy.
