About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer who enjoys hands‐on, practical work and being close to real project outcomes.
You'll play a key role across design, checking, and site inspections—working closely with builders, designers, and clients to deliver solutions that are efficient, buildable, and cost‐effective.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Documentation
* Deliver structural design and documentation for residential projects
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements
* Review and check designs for accuracy and buildability
Project Delivery
* Conduct site inspections and provide practical engineering advice
* Liaise with builders, designers, and clients throughout projects
* Support efficient, timely delivery across multiple projects
* Contribute to the design and development of new structural products
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build strong working relationships with repeat clients
* Provide clear, concise and practical engineering solutions
* Contribute to a collaborative and solutions‐focused team environment
What You Bring
* Minimum 5 years' experience in structural engineering
* Residential design experience highly regarded (house raising/restumping ideal)
* Degree‐qualified engineer (RPEQ not required, however can be working towards it)
* Practical, solutions‐focused mindset (not overly theoretical)
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills
* Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‐paced environment
