We are seeking an experienced educator to join our Northern Territory Remote Locum Program. The role supports healthcare professionals undertaking short-term placements in remote Aboriginal communities across the Northern Territory, playing a vital part in preparing and mentoring clinicians to deliver high-quality, culturally safe healthcare in unique and challenging environments.
About the Role
This is a culturally sensitive role that requires strong understanding of Remote Area Nurse practice and Primary Health Care delivery. You will be responsible for delivering tailored education and training for clinicians transitioning to remote practice, providing mentorship, clinical supervision, and ongoing support to new-to-remote healthcare professionals, conducting clinical assessments and offering constructive feedback, promoting cultural safety and best practice principles in clinical education, and collaborating with the Clinical Manager and Workforce Team to ensure effective deployment and support of health professionals.
Requirements
* A Registered Nurse (RN) with current, unrestricted registration.
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, or related healthcare discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' clinical experience, including 2+ years in education or training roles.
