Armstrong Ceiling Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our NSW team. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving specification, sales, and relationship growth with key partners across the commercial construction industry – from architects and designers to contractors, builders, distributors, and resellers.
About the Role
This is more than a traditional sales role. You'll be the face of Armstrong Ceiling Solutions in NSW, working with major projects and customers, and delivering commercial results through a spec–track–close strategy.
A critical focus of this role is managing and growing relationships with distributors, resellers, and contractors who represent our key channel to market. You’ll drive product awareness, support sell-through, and ensure our partners are equipped to succeed in a competitive market.
From influencing design early to securing contractor sales, you’ll deliver market share growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
•Drive specifications and project sales for our full ceiling and grid portfolio
•Manage and grow sales through distributors, resellers, and contractor networks
•Achieve and exceed NSW sales targets and profitability metrics
•Build strong relationships with architects, builders, and contractors
•Support major state and national projects
•Maintain active pipeline and CRM hygiene (HubSpot)
•Launch new products and support channel marketing activities
•Provide market intel and feedback to shape strategy
•Collaborate closely with national sales, customer service, and operations teams
About You
We’re looking for someone with energy, initiative, and a strong understanding of the commercial construction space.
You’ll bring:
•At least 5 years' experience in “On site” sales or trade background (building products preferred)
•Confidence interpreting construction drawings
•Proven ability to manage distributor and contractor channels
•Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
•Project management mindset – detail-oriented and solutions-focused
•CRM/ERP competency – HubSpot, EstimateOne, Cordells, or similar
Most importantly, you’ll be self-driven, commercially savvy, and a team player who brings a sense of humour and a can-do attitude to the role.
