SCMB Disability Supports is seeking an experienced, strategic and hands-on NDIS Finance Manager to join our professional staff on a full-time basis, leading and evolving our financial performance, implementing robust systems and processes, and providing insightful analysis to support organisational growth.
Duties & responsibilities:
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making and financial sustainability
* Oversee financial reporting and analysis, including end-of-month management reports, service-level P&Ls, and financial trend analysis with actionable recommendations
* Manage cost accounting, revenue and expense tracking, and ensure accurate financial data using systems like Xero
* Collaborate with external accountants for annual financial statements, tax returns, and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Ensure compliance with payroll obligations, including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and management of end-to-end payroll for 120+ employees under the SCHADS Award
* Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, debt recovery, and maintain strong financial controls and systems
* Ensure compliance with NDIS pricing, claiming processes, and audit requirements, including alignment with service delivery and participant plans
* Work closely with the Executive Team to align financial strategies with broader operational and strategic goals
* Lead, develop, and support a high-performing finance team, driving continuous improvement and professional development
* Drive digital transformation and financial process improvements, enhancing scalability, efficiency, and long-term viability
Experience & qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
* Minimum of 3 years' prior experience in a Finance or Accounts Management role
* Strong understanding of the NDIS Price Guide, claiming processes, and financial compliance within the disability sector
* Demonstrated expertise in payroll management and SCHADS Award interpretation
* Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting platforms
* Keen attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
* Collaborative approach to working within a team, as well as independently
* Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities
