Community Support Coordinator | Remote Area Family Service | Mt Isa

* Employment Term: Maximum Term to 30 June 2026, Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight)
* Location: Mt Isa
* Remuneration: $44.58 p/h+ Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging & $2,650 for meals & entertainment

Our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) program is seeking a dedicated Community Support Coordinator to join the team, supporting families across Mt Isa and surrounding communities. In this role, you will be working closely with our RAFS workers located in Longreach, Emerald, Mareeba and Charleville.

As a Community Support Coordinator,you will plan, develop, implement and support appropriate innovative initiatives aimed at building community awareness of UnitingCare services and develop inter-community linkages to enhance children and families' access to services.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide families with practical support, information and referrals.
* Respond to the perceived and expressed needs of families in the community and maintain and enhance program resource material for the target group.

Deliver regular community activities that promote healthy family relationships and child wellbeing.
* Develop and initiate activities to improve the quality, efficiency, referral and networking of family-focused community services.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with community agencies, service providers and government stakeholders.
* Complete organisational and government reporting requirements.
* Promote and work collaboratively with the wider RAFS team to support high‑quality family referrals and service delivery

* A relevant tertiary Qualification and/or demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with the community in planning, driving, implementing and evaluating activities and programs.
* Be a highly motivated and energetic person who has demonstrated experience working with young children and their development, supporting families and communities
* Current driver's license
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
