**Landscape Gardener (Full-Time)**

**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking Experienced Landscape Gardeners to join our teams on an ongoing basis for our clients based in Melbourne VIC. As an Experienced Landscape Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the grounds and gardens of our commercial, and high-end residential clients in the local areas. Employment type: Permanent, Full time
Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000 plus Superannuation
Task and Responsibilities:
- Plant, cultivate, and maintain a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Perform regular garden maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, mulching, and watering.
- Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases, implementing appropriate treatments.
- Assist in the design and layout of new garden spaces and landscapes.
- Maintain garden tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute landscaping projects.
- Keep records of plant care activities and garden maintenance schedules.
- Provide recommendations for plant selection and garden improvements.
- Design and plan landscape layouts, including flower beds, lawns, pathways, and hardscaping features.
- Select appropriate plants, trees, and shrubs based on climate, soil conditions, and client preferences.
- Install landscaping features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and irrigationsystems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in good working order.
- Keep up-to-date with landscaping trends, techniques, and best practices.
**Qualifications/Education**
A relevant Certificate IV qualification is required for this role. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant role may substitute but this will be judged on an individual case basis.
**Experience/Knowledge**
Past experience gained (post qualification) in the same role for 1 year would be the minimum requirement for the incumbent to have the necessary level of proficiency
**Abilities/Attributes**
- Knowledge of plant types, growth habits, and care requirements.
- Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for working outdoors.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent communication skills and a team
- oriented attitude.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, and plant care.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
