Statewide Principal Psychology Educator

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH)

* Lead statewide psychology education for Victoria's public mental health workforce
* Full‐time ongoing role with RMH, seconded to the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing for review in June 2027

About RMH & The Team

We are seeking an experienced Statewide Principal Psychology Educator to lead the development and delivery of psychology education and training across Victorian public mental health and wellbeing services.

This is a statewide leadership role, seconded to the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing (VCCMHW) until June 2027, providing oversight, coordination and strategic direction for the psychology education program.

The VCCMHW plays a critical role in strengthening the capability of Victoria's mental health workforce through education, training, research translation and workforce development initiatives.

Working closely with the VCCMHW workforce team and a Grade 4 Psychology Educator, you will lead the planning, development and delivery of education and workforce development initiatives that strengthen the capability of psychologists across the public mental health system.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the statewide planning, development and delivery of psychology education and training programs
* Provide leadership and operational management for the VCCMHW Psychology Educator (Grade 4)
* Oversee the design, delivery and evaluation of professional development programs for psychologists in public mental health services
* Contribute to training initiatives that support multidisciplinary and lived experience workforces
* Work collaboratively with the VCCMHW workforce, research and operations teams
* Engage with universities, training providers and professional networks to strengthen workforce capability
* Contribute to broader workforce development and mental health reform initiatives

About You

You are an experienced psychologist with strong leadership and education expertise, passionate about strengthening the mental health workforce.

You Will Bring

* Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, with endorsement as a Clinical, Forensic or Clinical Neuropsychologist
* At least 10 years' experience working in mental health services
* Board‐approved supervisor status
* Demonstrated experience leading training, education or workforce development programs
* Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and project management skills
