The Role
This is a hands-on position working closely with our Head Chef and senior team across:
* On site restaurant service
* Large scale events and festivals
* Corporate, private and offsite catering
You will be responsible for running your section with confidence and precision, contributing to menu execution and maintaining the high standards our venue is known for.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain your section during service
* Ensure consistent quality, presentation and portion control
* Assist with event and function preparation and execution
* Contribute to daily prep, organisation and kitchen systems
* Maintain high food safety, hygiene and allergen standards
* Work efficiently during high volume service periods
* Support stock control and minimise waste
* Contribute ideas and creativity to menu development
About You
You are a reliable, organised and passionate chef who thrives in a fast paced, professional environment.
You will have:
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
* Experience in high volume venues, hotels or busy restaurants
* Strong service discipline and attention to detail
* Ability to stay calm and focused during peak periods
* A team-first mindset and positive attitude
* Flexibility to assist across events and catering when required
* A genuine interest in building a long term role within a regional community
Experience with functions and large-scale catering is highly regarded but not essential.
