Position summary
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer (Water Treatment) to join the companies growing design team based in Sydney.
With full support from an experienced Drafting & Design Manager, you will work closely with a team of design engineers and drafters to design water & wastewater treatment plant projects.
Experience using 3D Inventor and AutoCAD is ideal, but not essential.
Specific responsibilities:
* Using both 3D Inventor and AutoCAD, prepare and produce accurate detail Models & drawings covering a large range of disciplines including but not limited to: Mechanical design, Structural,Plant design, Piping, Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs and General Layouts
* Apply best-practise Engineering Principles and appropriate regulatory standards in the preparation of designs and ensure drawings conform to company standards.
* Work closely with the Project Team in order to follow the scheduled program of production of drawings and project specifications, providing detailing support and knowledge to ensure the best outcome.
* Liaise with external fabricators and other stakeholders to assist with the correct interpretation and revision of drawings.
