Are you searching for a unique opportunity to teach one student?
We are searching for a special education teacher seeking a flexible working environment.
You will be teaching a 10 year old child from a residential home in a room that has been set up like a classroom.
This position will have condensed hours, the luxury of time to teach and the flexibility to choose and modify your teaching approach.
You will be working in a relaxed environment with equipment and resources supplied, including a dedicated study area.
You will teach from a modified WA Curriculum; preferably have experience with Steiner or Montessori framework and with experience in DFS training and must love art and music.
Responsibilities
Teach a curriculum with a multi-sensory approach and use explicit instruction to ensure learning outcomes are met.
Work in a relaxed environment with equipment and resources supplied.
Qualifications
Qualified teacher with direct experience working in special education or specialization in special education.
Experience with Steiner or Montessori frameworks and DFS training preferred.
Love for art and music.
Hours & Location
***** hours per week, flexible schedule.
