What is the role?
Buzz is a full-service agency encompassing ideation, design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and logistics. This crucial role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of our sourcing strategy. Key duties include;
* Sourcing new suppliers, across multiple product lines including textiles, amenity bags, printing, audio and meal service ware
* Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
* Driving key projects with suppliers always ensuring that Quality, Delivery and Global Compliance standards are adhered to.
* Actively working with suppliers on continuous improvement plans, automation and improving efficiencies.
* Preparing suppliers to host client visits, facilitating the process to ensure meaningful interactions
* Attending sourcing fairs and other relevant industry events as required.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Min.10 years' experience in Global sourcing of consumer goods, across numerous locations
* Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded
* Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process including sound knowledge of emerging industry trends
* Ability to value add to existing systems and processes through automation and improving efficiencies above and beyond standard industry practice.
* Well-developed strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Flexibility to travel at least 6 times annually.
