Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a passionate and strategic Senior Health Promotion Officer to lead the integration of preventive health into routine practice across our local health system.

Remuneration: $59.88 – $64.69 per hour

What You'll Be Doing
This role focuses on addressing health determinants and reducing modifiable risk factors through collaborative action and system‑level change to deliver impactful prevention programmes within clinical settings. You'll work closely with internal clinicians and stakeholders, primary care providers and other external partners to build capacity and strengthen prevention‑focused practice. Your work will support healthier outcomes for our diverse and vibrant communities, while aligning with state‑wide prevention programmes, contributing to broader efforts to reduce chronic disease and promote equity across NSW.

Essential Criteria
* Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
* Tertiary qualifications in health or a related field
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in health or a related field.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in project and change management, including the ability to plan, design, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on the outcomes of evidence‑informed programmes and services.
* Proven ability to manage, motivate and provide leadership to a team to deliver population‑focused health promotion outcomes in a high‑volume and demanding environment, while effectively prioritising competing timelines.
* Strong understanding of equity as a guiding principle in population health programme planning and implementation, along with knowledge of evidence‑based practice in population health, health outcome measurement, and emerging trends in the Australian health system.
* Demonstrated ability to establish, maintain and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaborative action and ensure successful programme implementation and sustainability.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of staff and external partners to build strong working relationships.
* Ability to work independently with initiative, including identifying and responding to emerging issues, and applying high‑level analytical and problem‑solving skills to develop creative, business‑focused solutions.
* Demonstrated high‑level competence in using computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other relevant digital tools to support project delivery and communication.
