About the role:
Atmos™ is a tech-driven company leading the way in cyber resilience. We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with management accounting experience who is ready to lead a team and grow into a Finance Manager role.
Reporting to the CFO, you will help improve our financial operations, reporting and forecasting to support the next stage of our growth. You will work closely with teams across the business to ensure our financial processes are efficient, scalable and meet evolving needs.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build skills in both finance operations and people management.
Responsibilities:
* You’ll support and contribute to:
* Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and financial statements
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
* Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
* Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes
* Support strategic planning and business case development
* Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
* Lead or contribute to finance-related projects and system improvements
* Assist with compliance and regulatory reporting requirements
* Mentor junior finance staff and support team development
* Managing payroll and weekly payment runs.
Key skills and experience:
* Strong understanding of management accounting principles and practices
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
* Proficiency in financial reporting and data interpretation
* Advanced Excel skills and high-level of Xero knowledge.
* Ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience working in cross-functional teams
* Knowledge of financial compliance and internal controls
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Solid understanding of Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements
