The Mount Barker Co-operative has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and reliable individual to lead our bakery team.
This hands‐on role involves overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring high standards of product quality, customer service, food safety, and team performance. Early morning starts and rotating weekend work will be required.
We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership and organisational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment. Experience in bakery operations, food preparation, stock control, and team supervision is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Managing and supporting bakery staff
* Maintaining product quality and presentation standards
* Assisting with rostering and daily workflow coordination
* Monitoring stock levels and ordering requirements
* Ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace health standards
Please note that heavy lifting may be required as part of the role.
