**Job Overview**
The Operations Manager role is a critical position within our organization, providing leadership to a state-wide technical team and ensuring the efficient, safe, and professional delivery of research and teaching infrastructure and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the technical team, ensuring safe, efficient, effective and high-quality delivery of teaching, research and field programs across the state.
* Promote and maintain a strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture.
* Manage expenditure and cost recovery across assigned budgets.
* Provide high-level technical advice and input into strategic planning and progress reporting.
* Collaborate with relevant marketing and communications teams to support the delivery of community engagement activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated knowledge of research, teaching and operational processes.
* Ability to manage teams with strong interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated high level organisational and decision-making skills.
* Experience in the development and implementation of safety and risk management and mitigation procedures.
* Broad understanding of building design, scientific research equipment and agricultural machinery.
What We Offer:
* A total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
