The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Accountant with around 2–3 years’ public practice experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive boutique environment. This role will provide strong mentoring and exposure to a wide variety of work across SME and individual clients, making it ideal for someone who is proactive, personable and eager to grow their career. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing individual tax returns and BAS statements Assisting with compliance work for SME clients Liaising with the ATO regarding client matters Supporting senior accountants and partners with client work Assisting with financial statements and general tax compliance Building relationships with clients and assisting with queries About You 2-3 years’ experience within public practice accounting Experience preparing individual tax returns and BAS Strong communication and interpersonal skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Experience with Xero or MYOB is beneficial Currently studying or planning to undertake CA / CPA (preferred) Benefits Flexible working hours - 9:00am-5:00pm or 10:00am-6:00pm 4 days per week to start - options to move to 5 days Boutique firm with direct access to Partners for mentoring Flat team structure with strong learning opportunities Exposure to diverse clients and industries Study and professional development support Excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their learning and career progression How to Apply To apply for this role, please submit your resume through the APPLY button.
