Ignite Engineering is inviting applications for a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer (RPEQ preferred) to join our growing team based in Toowoomba, QLD. The role will provide the successful applicant with exposure to complex and high-profile projects across the construction, defence, utilities, marine and manufacturing industries.

The role:
* Manage and deliver all aspects of projects (concept through to detailed design) within a professional consultancy servicing the construction, defence, utilities, marine and manufacturing industries. Including engagement of sub-consultants.
* Permanent full-time office-based role in Toowoomba QLD.
* Design and analysis of unique & complex civil, hydraulic and structural projects in accordance with Australian Standards.
* Perform analysis utilising software such as Strand7, HEC RAS, Epanet.
* Interface with our clients including performing site visits and inspections.
* Utilise AutoCAD (or equivalent) to produced detailed design drawings building, civil, structural and hydraulic.
* Provide ongoing construction support during manufacture/installation of structures.
* Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, such as implementing standardised templates or streamlining design workflows to enhance productivity and maximise Ignite's design capabilities.
* Preparation of technical/supporting documentation (certificates, design reports, O&M Manuals, etc.).
* Preparation of fee proposals and cost estimates.
The successful applicant:
* Is an Australian citizen, eligible to obtain Defence clearance.
* Structural or Civil engineering degree.
* RPEQ status (or application in progress).
* Has 5+years civil/structural design, preferably from a consultancy environment, with experience in steel/concrete/timber structures, commercial and industrial buildings, footings, reinforcing and slab design.
* Proficiency with the design and analysis (inc. FEA) of structures to Australian Standards
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a dynamic and responsive environment within the Toowoomba office, via Teams to the rest of the team and monthly visits to the Murarrie office.
* Has a genuine eye for detail and pride in one's work.
* Has a practical/hands on background or outlook.
* Client and solution focused.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
