The Opportunity:
Futura Mining Services is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team at Wilton/ Fairhill mines. Being part of the Maintenance Team, you will report to the Maintenance and Asset Superintendent and work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results for the business across our two operational sites.
Duties will include:
* Develop and maintain weekly and fortnightly maintenance plans for the mobile and support equipment, ensuring effective scheduling and minimal production downtime
* Build, refine and continuously improve maintenance plans, task attachments and strategies to align with the company's objective
* Manage condition monitoring, report and provide direction on asset reliability and improvement
* Actively participate in rough cut planning and sign off meetings with the maintenance execution and production team
* Update CMMS master data to provide accurate plans, schedule and equipment management
* Engage with all levels of production and maintenance to ensure reliability and improvement opportunities are realised in the site's assets
* Analyse daily reports, performance, and variances against targets
* Provide day to day support, guidance and interaction with maintenance personnel to ensure work scope is understood and effectively executed
* Work with equipment suppliers and maintenance teams to coordinate planned maintenance packages and scheduling for non-FMS assets
* Track and report planning for maintenance teams to achieve key performance indicator targets
* Ensure compliance with the site's Safety Health Management System (SHMS) and all relevant statutory obligations
* Support the maintenance team with safety improvement initiatives and participate in continuous improvement and in-house projects
About You:
As the successful candidate, you will be a collaborative and proactive team player who demonstrates a strong commitment to safety through effective maintenance planning and direct engagement. You'll understand how your role contributes to broader team objectives, effectively prioritise tasks, and ensure full compliance with all site policies, procedures, and safety standards.
The above will be achieved and supported by:
* Demonstrated experience in mine site planning and scheduling in the Maintenance environment
* Proven ability to plan and execute maintenance activities within budget and resources constraints
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word and CMMS's)
* Australian recognised Trade Qualification or demonstrated planning experience or qualification
* Comprehensive understanding of QLD Coal Mining Legislation and its application to the maintenance operations
* Strong knowledge of multidiscipline engineering and industry standard practices
* Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a professional attitude with the ability to build effective working relationships within a team oriented culture
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills and with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment
* Strong commitment to safety and health, constantly demonstration an overriding focus on commitment on safe work practices and environmental responsibility
* Ability to identify, assess and implement effective business risk management and continuous improvement to increase maintenance performance
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines while remaining calm under pressure
* Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
* Valid driver's licence and proof of right to work in Australia
* Successfully pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
