Job Description
Building Associate at European Ceramics. We are looking for a skilled Building Associate to work on a full‐time basis (at least 38 hours per week). Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in interpreting architectural drawings, design layouts, and technical specifications to support the execution of interior fit‐out and construction works.
* Coordinate with designers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure materials, finishes, and components are delivered and installed according to project requirements.
* Monitor site activities to ensure works are carried out in line with approved plans, design intent, and relevant building standards.
* Prepare and review project documentation including material schedules, measurements, and installation details for kitchens, wardrobes, and custom joinery.
* Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify dimensions, identify discrepancies, and support accurate project implementation.
* Liaise with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth workflow between design, procurement, and construction phases.
* Assist in resolving on‐site issues by proposing practical solutions that maintain design integrity and construction feasibility.
* Track project progress and provide updates to internal teams, ensuring timelines and quality expectations are met.
* Support quality assurance processes by checking workmanship, finishes, and installation outcomes against specifications.
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment on‐site.
Requirements
* Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise tasks, coordinate multiple project activities, and meet strict construction timelines within a fast‐paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage concurrent fit‐out and building assignments while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proactive and solution‐oriented approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and contribute to efficient project delivery.
