The Manly Boathouse
is a thriving, seven-day week, all-day dining venue in Eastern Bayside, just South of Brisbane with several catering outlets under one roof.
We are now looking for a SOUS CHEF to immerse themselves in the business, help drive the team and culinary offer, and work with the senior kitchen team to take the business to the next level.
The Role
Exceptional dining is one of the cornerstones of our business, and we pride ourselves on producing innovative, fresh, and seasonal food from the bountiful land that surrounds us.
With access to the best and freshest local produce, you will work alongside the head chef to develop and evolve our menu.
This is a role that will see you showcase your creativity, leadership, and finely tuned kitchen management skills.
The expectation
This is an opportunity for a natural leader who can manage, create and deliver. You will have solid senior experience in an up-market pub/restaurant/bistro.
You will be a leader who can oversee and deliver on not only operational duties but also senior administrative and management responsibilities including menu development, rostering, stock control, food safety and compliance, staff development and training.
You will have excellent time and task management skills, outstanding verbal communication skills, and be able to demonstrate that you are an effective team player and natural leader.
This is a role that will see you grow and develop as our group expands.

The successful applicant
Have the necessary formal trade qualifications in commercial cookery
Have full working rights for Australia
Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role
Be a gun on the pass
Be responsible for food ordering, production & service
Thorough knowledge of workplace health & safety practice
