At our organization, we are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Category Manager - eCommerce. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving key business outcomes in sales, profit, and inventory targets for our eCommerce portfolio.
The successful candidate will work closely with our eCommerce team and collaborate with various departments, including Merchandise, Operations, Finance, Space, and Marketing. Your primary focus will be on developing an effective eCommerce merchandising strategy and evolving processes to support our eCommerce business.
* Lead and empower your team to enhance processes, drive initiatives, and cultivate a customer-centric culture.
* Utilize customer feedback and market understanding to deliver tailored solutions across all channels.
* Collaborate to optimize trading, build strong partnerships, and ensure excellent customer experiences.
* Support the eCommerce category strategy and execute Category and Customer Jobs to be Done.
* Adapt and implement Customer Trade Plan mechanics.
* Execute Dan Murphy's pricing and competition strategies on all platforms, adhering to policies.
* Consistently achieve eCommerce KPIs, including sales and profit.
* Lead Range Review, Trading Terms, and Pricing discussions for eCommerce.
* Leverage data and insights for continuous improvement and sustainable growth.
* Collaborate across teams, understanding competitors, brands, consumers, and shopper trends.
* Manage and present weekly reports to stakeholders.
* Manage B2B, Corporate, and Events Team relationships to drive growth.
* Oversee product sourcing for eCommerce channels.
* Lead eCommerce fulfillment from a Merchandise perspective, including CFC oversight.
* Own end-to-end outcomes for Dan Murphy's on DoorDash and Uber Eats for Merchandise, including range, pricing, and promotions.
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a passion for retail buying, marketing, or business development within the liquor industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of core category management skills and experience working in a Head Office Merchandise Environment.
* Experience in retail buying, marketing, or business development within Liquor.
* Understanding and application of core category management skills, inc leverage of customer data & insights.
* 5+ years experience managing within a Head Office Merchandise Environment.
* Retail Planning and Merchandise Management experience; preferably with ecommerce experience.
* Proven experience in leadership positions.
* Ability to work across different categories and functions.
* Ability to understand technology and how this impacts supply chain / Merchandise strategies.
* Bachelor's or higher level degree with an emphasis in Merchandise Management, Finance or business a bonus.
