Are you looking for a fulfilling role in a close-knit team in a beautiful country setting? Join our team at Yorke and Northern Local Health Network in Burra Hospital, where you’ll be a vital part of ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through preventative maintenance and efficient management. In this hands-on role, you’ll coordinate a range of maintenance activities while contributing to the safety and wellbeing of our staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the coordination of preventative maintenance across buildings, plant, equipment, and grounds.
* Supervise a small, dedicated team of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring timely repairs and high standards of maintenance.
* Utilise computer systems to manage schedules, track repairs, and monitor asset condition.
* Oversee the fire and safety programs, conducting regular safety checks, evacuation drills, and staff training.
* Work closely with the Executive Officer and Facility Managers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance policies.
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules, prioritising tasks to ensure a safe and functional healthcare environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience leading and motivating a small team in a maintenance role, with the ability to manage contractors effectively.
* Strong background in preventative maintenance, asset management, and familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues.
* Comprehensive knowledge of WHS regulations, building compliance, and safety standards.
* Experience with project management and overseeing minor works and repairs.
