Centre: Goodstart Cowandilla
Employment Type: Part time, 30 hours per week
Pay: $27.65 to $31.34 per hour - depending on qualifications or experience

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.
In this role, you will:
Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
Work a part time roster of 30 hours per week, 8am – 2pm. Monday to Friday - No weekend work
About Goodstart Cowandilla:
We have 96 places in our centre.
Our beautiful outdoor dining hub provides a dedicated space for meals with child-height servery, which allows our centre cook to serve and engage our children in cooking and preparing meals.
Work a Part time roster from 8am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Most team members have been at the centre since it opened in 2020 and one of our teachers has been a part of the Goodstart family for over 20 years.
* Our multicultural staff speak many languages including English, so they can help families in our community settle in. We have Bengali, Hindi, Portuguese, Mandarin, Nepali and Arabic-speaking educators.

You'll need:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
Current SA Working with Children Check
