Contract Specialist – Hunter Valley | Contract Opportunity
Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-focused Contracts Specialist to join their high-performing team in the Hunter Valley. This contract role will provide coverage for an internal secondment. They're seeking someone with a solid background in contract management within the mining industry, along with a good understanding of the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) environment.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle across a diverse portfolio valued at over $300M.
* Take the lead in contract negotiations with key stakeholders and partners.
* Bring a commercially minded approach to identify, manage, and mitigate contract risks.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple business areas.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in contracts management, procurement, or commercial roles.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex agreements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving outcomes.
* Experience leading or mentoring team members (desirable but not essential).
* Australian Driver's license
