**Job Description**

The role of Facilities and Maintenance Manager is a key position within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance services across all ARRCS sites in the Northern Territory.

This busy and rewarding role will see you ensure that sites are operating to legislative standards and operate to safety standards for residents, visitors, staff, and contractors. You will also provide guidance and support to major projects such as new developments, major refurbishments, and upgrades.

In this role, you will bring a background and knowledge of local contractors and suppliers. You will be up to date with WHS and Emergency legislation and be able to demonstrate a solid career in trades. You will also be knowledgeable about facility and asset management and be able to support the organisation with auditing, record keeping, and policy around working in safe practices.

You will be a supportive and approachable team member who is comfortable managing sites remotely and willing to travel to remote areas of the Northern Territory.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

* Able to support the development and implementation of appropriate procedures and guidelines to ensure the consistent and effective delivery of services, from internal and external providers and suppliers.
* Broad understanding of building and building services related legislation, regulations, and standards.
* Understanding of relevant workplace health and safety regulations and continuous quality improvement practices.
* Experience in the effective delivery of services through a broad contractor/subcontractor base and ensuring the appropriate performance of contractors in delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver quality and on-time outcomes within allocated budgets.
* Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including strong stakeholder management skills and well-developed computer skills.
* Understanding of computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) and the effective delivery of maintenance management services.
