Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Aged Care Dietitian who is ready for a new adventure. As an Aged Care Dietitian (Level 3), you will be a part of the collaborative Nutrition and Dietetics team at our state‐of‐the‐art Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care to the community of Wagga Wagga.
About the Role:
The Aged Care Dietitian works as an essential part of a multidisciplinary team on the Aged Care Ward of Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. This is an opportunity for an experienced dietitian with high‐level clinical knowledge and skills to work autonomously while providing expert nutritional care and advice that is evidence‐based. You'll contribute to quality improvement and team leadership including clinical supervision and student involvement. You'll be a valued team member in a wider Dietetics team including both Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants.
Position Description
Key Deliverables:
* Deliver comprehensive nutrition and dietetics services with clinical expertise in your specialty area
* Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient health outcomes
* Provide supervision and support to dietitians, allied health assistants, and students
* Plan, implement, and evaluate quality improvement programmes and research initiatives
* Develop cultural competence with commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people and minority populations
* Maintain accurate documentation and activity statistics in line with key performance indicators
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics with eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia (DA)
* Demonstrated high-level clinical knowledge, skills, and experience within your specialty area
* Proven leadership capabilities including staff supervision, negotiation, and advocacy
* Excellence in communication, education, and training delivery
* Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating quality improvement programmes
* Strong time management skills with ability to respond to varying workloads
* Current Class C Driver's Licence
* Vaccination Category A compliance
* NSW Working with Children Check
