About NBMLHD
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) provides a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital offering tertiary referral services across emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Haematology/Oncology team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a specialised and supportive environment, delivering high quality care to patients undergoing complex cancer treatments and haematological therapies. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care. Strong clinical skills, empathy and a commitment to excellence are essential in supporting patients and their families through challenging health journeys. Responsibilities
Provide high quality nursing care to patients undergoing haematology/oncology treatment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Demonstrate person-centred, family-inclusive and culturally sensitive care.
Organise and prioritise workload; maintain effective communication with the team and patients.
Contribute to professional development and continuous learning.
Work flexibly across a roaster including day, evening or night shifts on all days of the week.
Qualifications
Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
Demonstrated nursing experience in a relevant setting (including recent graduates or equivalent experience).
Ability to provide person-centred, family-inclusive and culturally sensitive care.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to professional development and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to work across a roster including all shifts.
