About the Role:
We are seeking a distinguished Fishing Ecosystems Scientist to lead impactful research in applied coastal marine ecology supporting the health and sustainability of tropical coastal ecosystems and fisheries. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge studies focused on fish and crustacean habitat use, mud crab population dynamics, and fisheries management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct strategically aligned research, securing external funding and industry partnerships
* Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with industry, government, and academic partners
* Publish influential research, securing expert advice, and building effective partnerships
* Mentor emerging scientists, delivering innovative evidence-based approaches to coastal and marine sustainability

Requirements:
