Our client, Trafficworks, in Ivanhoe, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the detailed design of road geometry projects and mentor a team of civil designers. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to government infrastructure projects while enjoying a collaborative and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake detailed design of civil roadworks, ensuring compliance with Austroads Guides and Australian Standards
* Oversee and mentor a team of civil designers, reviewing and refining their work
* Provide technical expertise in drainage and culvert design
* Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions
Skills & Experience:
* 10+ years of local experience in road geometry design
* Proficiency in 12D or OpenRoads and Microsoft applications
* Strong understanding of Austroads Guides and relevant Australian Standards
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects, mentor a team, and deliver high-quality designs
* Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Chartered or Registered Engineer (Civil)
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by Engineers Australia
* Australian Driver's License
