The City of Joondalup is seeking an experienced payroll officer to assist with processing and delivering an effective fortnightly payroll service, with a focus on compliance and customer service.
Payroll Officer
* Salary: $90,507 - $96,119 per annum
* Up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
* Full Time Permanent
* Ref No: 26-075
Key Responsibilities
* Process and execute the City's fortnightly payroll using Aurion HRIS.
* Ensure accurate payroll calculations and strict adherence to deadlines.
* Apply relevant Industrial Awards, Agreements, ATO regulations and other statutory requirements.
* Interpret and apply Awards and Agreements consistently.
* Process workers' compensation claims.
* Contribute to continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems.
Key Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in accounting, HR or Finance and/or equivalent relevant experience.
* Experience using an HRIS and other online technology to complete end-to-end payroll.
* Experience processing multi-award/agreement end-to-end payroll.
* Knowledge of ATO regulations as they relate to payment of salaries and wages.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret Awards and Agreements.
* Provision of a satisfactory National Police Certificate no more than three months old.
