Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the delivery of a national program. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a multi-workstream program with a focus on quality, compliance, and outcomes.
The role involves direct engagement with internal stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners across technical, security, change, and training streams. You will ensure that the program stays on track, within budget, and aligns to the broader goals of increasing developer efficiency through safe, AI-enabled tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, baseline, and maintain a master project plan with clear milestones
2. Establish program governance frameworks and reporting structures
3. Lead cross-functional delivery teams (architects, engineers, BAs, and SMEs)
4. Manage project budgets and financial reporting with full transparency
5. Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and issues as needed
6. Ensure full compliance with ICT governance, security policies, and procurement regulations
7. Drive improvement by embedding lessons learned and delivery best practices
8. Oversee a seamless transition to BAU operations at project completion
Required Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone who is confident navigating federal government environments and leading secure digital programs with strategic importance.
Must have:
* 5–10 years' ICT Project Management experience
* At least 3 years leading delivery for Australian Government departments or agencies
* Proven track record delivering SaaS, AI-enabled, or cloud-hosted solutions in secure environments
* Expertise across project management methodologies: PRINCE2, PMBOK, and Agile
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience managing vendors and subcontractors in multi-supplier ecosystems
* Baseline or NV1 security clearance
