* Competitive pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $700,253 p.a.
* Base salary ranges between $216,643 and $274,678 p.a. (L18-L27) (Paid pro-rata for engagement period or part time employee)

About the role
As the Rural Director of Medical Services (RDMS), you will play a key role in leading and supporting medical service delivery across the Gulf-spanning Doomadgee, Mornington Island, and Normanton Hospitals, with links to Mount Isa Hospital as the regional referral centre. In this permanent full-time role, you'll balance clinical practice (0.5 FTE) with strategic and leadership responsibilities (0.5 FTE), contributing to safer, more connected healthcare for some of Queensland's most unique communities.
Requirements
* Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* Hold current unconditional registration or eligibility for unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Possession of a Fellowship in General Practice (FACCRM or FRACGP/FRACGP-RG/FARGP). A "Rural Generalist" qualification (FACRRM, FARGP or FRACGP-RG) is highly regarded.
* Appointment as a Rural Generalist SMO (Level 18 to Level 27) will require one or more of the following advanced skills as specified by the Colleges: Emergency Medicine, Remote Medicine, Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Mental Health, or Small Town General Practice.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
