Fresh Produce Quality Advisor Job Description
We are seeking a professional to work closely with our network of growers in Western Australia.
This role is crucial in maintaining quality standards, supporting 'just-in-time' supply requirements and strengthening partnerships with growers. The position involves providing end-to-end technical oversight of cultivation practices to address issues such as infestation, disease and reduced post-COVID workforce capacity.
You will engage effectively with farmers, ensuring fruit and vegetable cultivation takes into account seasonal threats and opportunities, and guide farming activities to align with opportunities for maximum and high-quality yield.
* Providing overarching strategies to sustainably maximise the productivity of farms
* Identifying disease, soil deficiencies and farming inefficiencies across individual crops
* Helping farmers develop effective strategies to meet growing demand and quality expectations of the markets
The ideal candidate should have a relevant bachelor's degree and minimum 1-year recent experience in the field.
