Mount Barker's brand-new, state-of-the-art aquatic and fitness facility is opening in August 2025. Summit Aquatic and Leisure will offer inclusive programs for all ages and abilities, supporting the growing Mount Barker and Adelaide Hills communities. This brand-new facility includes;
- 25m Indoor Pool
- Learn-to-Swim Pool
- Shallow Entry Pool with Water Play
- Warm Water Pool
- Health Club & Group Exercise Rooms
- Child-minding & Community Meeting Rooms
- Kiosk/Café

**The Role**

With this exciting new space opening soon, we need a high calibre Health Club Coordinator to work with the Venue Manager to build a fitness team. Key to the role is the ability to use existing industry knowledge and contacts to get this function up and running for members and guests to use immediately once the centre opens, and in such a way as to make their experience positive and ensure they want to keep coming back. This is a part time position.

The Health Club Coordinator's key accountabilities include:

- Driving fitness key performance indicators including member retention and reduced attrition
- Contributing to the centre's strategic direction, continuous improvement and leadership
- Researching, planning and developing a range of high quality, appropriate and desirable health and fitness programs for the community, including those for targeted groups e.g. people with a disability and members aged over 55
- Developing strong working relationships with members and other health care providers
- Leading the centre's fitness team, and providing supervision and on-the-job training
- Working with team members to continually evaluate, review and modify existing programs
- Conducting regular team meetings, and fostering the development of ideas for new fitness programs and initiatives
- Ensuring colleagues across the centre, and at other sites are aware of fitness offerings and able to cross-sell them as required.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:

- Certificate III and IV in Fitness
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
- Legal working rights in Australia

**Desirable
- Bachelor of Exercise Science
