We are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager / Senior Mechanic to lead our busy workshop and supervise a small team. This is a hands-on role combining mechanical expertise, staff leadership, and strong customer interaction.
About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, customers are looked after, and the team is supported to deliver high-quality work. This role suits someone who enjoys being on the tools while also managing people and workflow.
Key responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a small team of mechanics
* Manage workflow, job allocation, and scheduling
* Carry out mechanical repairs and diagnostics
* Deal directly with customers, providing clear advice and updates
* Maintain workshop standards, safety, and efficiency
* Help maintain and grow the customer base through excellent service
About you
* Trade qualified mechanic with solid industry experience
* Minimum 5-8 years of automotive mechanic experience required
* Previous supervisory or workshop management experience preferred
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Reliable, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Takes pride in quality workmanship
