The Opportunity
This is an excellent entry point for a junior lawyer or law graduate who wants to build hands‐on experience across multiple areas of law. You will work directly alongside our experienced Principal and senior lawyers.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us long‐term and who will thrive in a collaborative, client‐focused environment.
Areas of Practice
You will assist and, over time, act independently with supervision in matters across:
* Property transactions, including residential sales and purchases, and retail and commercial leases
* Estate planning and administration, including wills, powers of attorney, guardianship documents, and applications for Probate
* Family law, including property and parenting matters
Your Duties Will Include
* Drafting legal and court documents, affidavits, submissions and applications
* Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, government departments, third parties and other solicitors
* Managing correspondence and ensuring clear, timely communication
* Ensuring clients feel informed, supported and guided through their matter
* Conducting legal research
* Supporting billing, file management and compliance processes
* Assisting with other administrative tasks as required
What We're Looking For
* At least 1–2 years of experience working in a law firm as a paralegal or law clerk — experience in property, family law, or wills and estates is strongly preferred (recent graduates with relevant clerkship or practical legal training experience are encouraged to apply)
* Strong attention to detail and sound drafting skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* A personable, empathetic and professional manner
* Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
* An eagerness to learn, grow and invest in a long‐term career in general practice
* The ability to work full‐time from our office
