BUSINESS ADVISORY MANAGER - ROCKHAMPTON - NATIONAL ACCOUNTING FIRM (Job ID 774)
Our client is a well-established national accounting and advisory network with a strong presence across Australia. The firm provides a full suite of services including tax, accounting, audit and business advisory, supporting a diverse client base ranging from privately owned businesses and high-net-worth individuals to larger corporate groups.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for an experienced Business Advisory Manager to join the agribusiness advisory team. Their specialist Agribusiness Advisory team works closely with rural and regional clients across Australia, delivering tailored financial and business advice to support long‐term growth and sustainability.
The team offers a collaborative culture, strong technical support and opportunities to build meaningful relationships with clients operating in one of Australia's most important industries.
The Role
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
* Providing taxation advisory services, including researching and resolving technical tax issues
* Managing BAS, FBT and compliance obligations
* Monitoring financial and management reports to identify business improvement opportunities
* Supporting clients with tax planning, financial reporting and strategic business advice
* Working with accounting software including Xero, MYOB and Reckon
* Building strong client relationships and providing proactive advice
* Mentoring junior team members while managing workflow and deliverables
* Opportunities to travel to regional areas for client meetings and community engagement, gaining deeper insight into the agribusiness sector
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
* CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
* Approximately 3-6 years' experience in accounting, including at least 2 years within Australian public practice
* Strong experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Leadership capabilities including mentoring and supporting junior staff
* Interest in developing expertise within the agribusiness sector
