Role
As a Personal Banking Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our branch network, welcoming customers to Westpac and engaging in meaningful conversations to uncover their needs and provide them with tailored banking solutions. You will utilise your product knowledge to assist customers in achieving their financial goals – in-person and over the phone – and refer them to our specialised Banking teams when necessary. This is a rewarding role that empowers customers to make the most of their money, each day.
This is a part-time, branch-based role of 28.5 hours per week across four business days. Exact days are negotiated with the successful candidate (Mondays and Fridays are mandatory). An example schedule is provided below.
Typical schedule
* Monday: 9am – 4.30pm
* Tuesday: 9am – 4pm
* Thursday: 9am – 4pm
* Friday: 9am – 4pm
What you need
* Mandarin language capability is highly advantageous
* Customer service and sales experience, ideally in a customer-facing/phone-based role with experience of working to targets
* Resilience, with an ability to remain calm and composed whilst managing challenging situations
* Comfortable working towards sales / referral targets and calling customers over the phone
* Numerical capability, ideally with proficiency in cash handling and counting, with ability to complete financial transactions with accuracy
* An energetic personality coupled with a genuine passion for helping people
* The will to learn and adapt to new banking procedures and technologies
