About the Role
Salvos Stores is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Driver located in Tamworth. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, you will ensure the timely collection of goods from donors, clothing banks, and stores, dealing directly with the public and assessing items for resale.
Key responsibilities include:
Loading and unloading goods, including furniture
Performing labouring tasks and lifting reasonable weights
Distributing goods to stores and assisting retail staff
Providing professional customer service
Using electronic devices for paperwork
Maintaining safety and vehicle standards
About You
While experience in courier or furniture removal is advantageous, it is not essential. Essential qualifications include:
MR Licence
Good time management and reliability
High energy and a hands-on approach
Proven customer service skills
Experience with safe loading and unloading
Alignment with The Salvation Army's values and mission
Minimum 1 year of driving experience with a medium rigid vehicle
Current Australian Medium Rigid Licence or above
Effective communication and organizational skills
Right to work in Australia
