Join Our Clinical Trial and Research Team!Healthscope offers a role for a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Trial Coordinator - Research Governance in our Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at Newcastle Private Hospital (NPH), on a part-time basis.This position is central to clinical trial management within the CTU, overseeing the preparation, submission, and management of ethics and regulatory documents for multiple clinical trials.The ideal candidate will possess strong regulatory and governance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Attention to detail, proficient computer skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload are essential.Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in health sciences, allied health, or significant practical experience in ethics, research governance, and regulationProven experience in clinical researchKnowledge of national and international research guidelines, including Good Clinical PracticeStrong administrative, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and solve problems efficientlyTeamwork skills and stakeholder engagement experienceWell-organized, efficient, and able to work under pressureComputer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and database experienceExperience in cancer research or related fields (highly regarded)Postgraduate qualifications in clinical trials, medical governance, or related areasKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Research Manager to facilitate study start-up and activationHandle study feasibility and communication with sponsorsManage legal and contractual aspects, including research agreements and budgetsCoordinate ethical and governance submissions, liaising with the Research Governance OfficeMaintain regulatory document files and develop SOPs for the CTUAssist with research governance reporting and ensure compliance with guidelinesProvide training and support to CTU staff to improve research activitiesApplication Deadline: 13th May 2025How to Apply: Click the 'Apply' button to access the online application form.
